Conosciamo i nomi di diversi incisori di conii greci dell’antichità, tutti tramite le loro firma sulle monete. Al contrario la letteratura antica non riporta i loro nomi. La maggior parte delle monete firmate è stata coniata in Magna Graecia e in Sicilia.
